There are many applications which are made of pressure sensors, such as wearable technology, touch screens, cars and aircrafts. There are some sensors which are dependent on the semiconductor elements. However, at present a low cost method is used which is eco friendly as well. These sensors are also known as nanowires.
The gold nano structures are used commonly in different applications because of the optical, conductive and electrical properties. After many researches, it has been understood that gold nanowires are used in various traditional applications as well as in diagnostic, catalytic and biomedical areas.
Since 20 years, these particles are used in the research of cancer therapies. But, the optimization was not possible due to the limited absorption of gold nano particles, which is less than 650 to 900 nm. This is not suitable for hemoglobn, tissues and skin. However, they are known to have scattering and absorbing properties.
Applications of gold nanowires
These particles have proved to be good at acting as catalysis; they are used in many catalytic purposes which have the ability to reduce the use of metal by thousand multiples. When the touch screen displays are being manufactured and there is shortage of carbon nanowires, the gold nanowires can be used.
When it is about biodiagnostics, the bio sensors can be made using these nanowires. There are many drugs in which these nanowires are found, as they are considered to be used in DNA therapies. There are so many benefits which can be gained using these nanowires.
